Woman Shot 3 Times In Self-Defense During Home Invasion

LIVINGSTON PARISH, LOUISIANA – Paige Clark was shot by a homeowner in self-defense, after she accidentally woke them up during a home invasion, according to

Around 2 a.m. on October 11, Clark attempted to enter the home on Friendship Road in Livingston Parish. Her attempted entry caused a “popping” sound under their carport that woke up the homeowners.

One of the homeowners armed themselves and shot Clark twice in the leg and once in the hip. At the time, Clark was also armed. Clark was transported to a local hospital where she is expected to survive the injuries.

“The department said Clark will be booked into jail once she’s released from the hospital. She faces charges of aggravated burglary, theft of a motor vehicle, illegal use of weapons and burglary from a vehicle.”
