SB Tactical Releases New SBA5 Arm Brace

With arm braces once again on the menu thanks to a court injunction, SB Tactical has released a new model. The SBA5 is adjustable through five positions and will fit most common large-format pistols. Let’s see how it compares to its predecessors.

Stabilizing Braces @ TFB:

Like the other stabilizing braces from SB Tactical, the SBA5 includes a strap to secure the soft portion around the shooter’s forearm. There is also a QD sling cup for shooting with sling tension support, or general carrying. It is made in the USA.

The new SBA5 Brace does not include a receiver extension but is compatible with the industry standard military specification. The range of adjustment positions ranges from 7.5 inches to 10.25 inches in length of pull. It weighs nine ounces (without buffer tube) and includes a 1-inch wide strap. The brace itself measures 6.2 inches.

Both black and flat dark earth models appear on the SB Tactical website, but only black is in stock at this time. Both colors retail for $124.99 and can be ordered here. It is also available at a range of firearm retailers.

From the manufacturer:

The SBA5™ Pistol Stabilizing Brace® is 5-position adjustable and designed for all platforms capable of accepting a mil-spec carbine receiver extension. Featuring an integral, ambidextrous QD sling socket and an arm cuff based on the original SB15®, the SBA5 greatly enhances the usability of the host firearm by providing an additional point of contact.
