The Italian/American rifle stock manufacturer WOOX are expanding their line of hybrid aluminum/walnut stocks with the introduction of two new competition models dubbed Furiosa Ultra and Titano. The Furiosa Ultra is designed for Precision Rifle Series (PRS) and the Titano is marketed to the Benchrest and F-Class shooters. Let’s take a quick look at each of the new WOOX stocks.
WOOX @ TFB:
Compared to the Furiosa stock, the Furiosa Ultra has a 3″ longer and wider forearm that can accommodate barrels of up to 1.25″ diameter as well as features the company’s Suspense weight system that allows installing up to six 2.5 oz weights inside the forearm for tuning the balance of the rifle. The forearm also features a full-length bottom ARCA rail and 6-slot M-LOK panels on both sides. Other differences from the Furiosa are the redesigned buttstock with a vertical pistol grip and thumb rests machined into the 7075 aluminum chassis. The Furiosa Ultra stock also features an adjustable cheekpiece and length of pull, and comes with a walnut bag rider. The overall length of the WOOX Furiosa Ultra stock is 34″ and it weighs in at 4.5 lbs.
The MSRP of WOOX Furiosa Ultra stock is $1,399. The stock is currently available for Remington 700 DBM (AICS) Short Action only. Two Suspense system weights and four 1/4″ stock spacers are included in the price. WOOX Furiosa Ultra is a drop-in product with no gunsmithing required for the installation.
WOOX Titano stock shares many features with the Furiosa Ultra such as the drop-in design, compatibility with barrels of up to 1.25″ diameter, Suspense weight system, thumb rests machined into the chassis, pistol grip angle, and the overall weight and length. The main difference is in the buttstock and forearm designs. WOOX Titano has a 3″ wide flat-bottom forearm with no accessory attachment interfaces, and walnut buttstock with an adjustable cheekpiece and spacer-adjustable LOP.
The MSRP of WOOX Titano Stock is $999. At the time of writing, it is only available for Remington 700 BDL Short Action barreled actions.
