Man Wielding Knife on Chicago Bus is Shot; Shooter Runs Off After

CHICAGO, IL – A incident unfolded on a Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) bus late Tuesday night when a confrontation turned deadly. According to Chicago Police, the episode occurred just after 11 p.m. on Division Street near Kostner, where a 53-year-old man wielding a knife was shot multiple times by another passenger. The armed passenger, after firing the shots, fled the scene, leaving the knife-wielding man dead.

Leaving complicates the investigation and response efforts.
