In the wake of Hurricane Ian, Governor Ron DeSantis gave a stern warning to people who might want to loot and rob others, reminding them that Florida is a very gun-friendly state.
“You could have people bringing boats into some of these islands and trying to ransack people’s homes,” DeSantis said. “I can tell you in the state of Florida, you never know what may be lurking behind somebody’s home. And I would not want to chance that if I were you given that we are a second amendment state.”
Looters have already been arrested, and more are likely to find themselves behind bars as a result of their actions, or possibly the morgue if they choose the wrong home or business.
